Elementary integrals

Sometimes we get lucky and our integral is one of those we remember or can find in some mathematical text - most likely a list of solved integrals. Here is a list of essential integrals we really have to remember if we want to become successful integrators:

(Integrals without a specified domain are valid on the whole real line.)

Beware! These elementary integrals can be used only in exactly the way they are written. For instance, it is not true that the integral of sin(2x) is equal to -cos(x) + C or perhaps -cos(2x) + C. (This particular problem can be solved by substitution.)
