Exercises - Series: Expansion in Power/Taylor Series

Here you will find problems on expanding functions in power series (Taylor series). At the end there are several problems with estimate of error.

If you want to refer to sections of Methods Survey while working the exercises, you can click here and it will appear in a separate full-size window. Similarly, here we offer Theory.

Expand the given function in power/Taylor series with specified center a.

Expand the given expression using power/Taylor series with center a = 0. Then for specified x estimate the error of approximation if Tn is used instead of the series.

Expand the given expression using power/Taylor series with center a = 0. Then approximate this quantity using polynomial of degree 12.
