  • 1989: CSc. (=Ph.D.) degree in Mathematical Analysis, Czech Technical University.
    Thesis: Lattices of Closed Subspaces in Topological Linear Spaces.
  • 1984: RNDr. degree in Mathematical Analysis, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague.
  • 1984: Graduated with honours from Mathematical Analysis studies of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University of Prague.

Research interest: the theory of operator algebras (C*-algebras, von Neumann algebras, Jordan algebras), noncommutative measure theory, topological linear spaces, orthomodular structures, mathematical foundations of quantum theory.
1992- a scientific leader of a research team "Seminar on Operator Algebras and Mathematical Formalism of Quantum Theory", Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.

Publication Activity

  •  65 papers on operator algebras, quantum measure theory, topological linear spaces, theory of orthomodular lattices, and foundations of quantum theory, published in important international journals. (See Publications.)
